Learning from my fabulous client. Branding 101

Over the past year I have decided to create an entirely new business devoted to Interior and Architectural Photography.  After helping Jessica Dodson with the visual development of her new wardrobe styling business, 59 Morton, I had a better idea of how I wanted to brand my business. After getting an inside look into the creation of her logo, I new I wanted to work with her graphic designer, Liz Grant of http://www.Lizdesignsthings.com. I was able to see Liz’s process and how she created several options for Jessica.
I’m very excited to begin working with Liz on my logo design for: Michelle Drewes Media, Inc. Interior and Architectural Photography.
Below is the Home Page of my client Jessica Dodson of 59 Morton. Jessica has the amazing talent of mixing classic style with a rock n’ roll edge.

I look forward to sharing the logo and web design process as it evolves.

Architectural Photography

Indigo Architect, Davis, CA

A few months ago I decided to add Architectural Photography to my bag of tricks. When a potential client contacted me about photographing an eco friendly design studio that still had the original ceilings from when it was a Dairy Queen I knew this was a job I wanted as my own.  The client loved my interior photography, but was hesitant to hire a photographer who didn’t have any architecture in her portfolio. I offered to spend a morning doing a test shoot so that the client could see how I would approach their building.
Cut to now, they chose me for the job, used the photos to create a presentation to submit for the AIS awards, and they won an award!
